The description does not mention the size of the tripod. In the picture it looks much larger then it actually is. The tripod is only about 12 inchs tall and would be good for a light weight SLR. My DSLR with a decent lens caused the tripod to be unstable as it was just too small.

Good product if it fits your needs. It did not fit mine.

The product is not as it looks like in image... The case is for SLR but its triangular case and can't put SLR body and lens separately, if lens is attached, we can fit Nikon D60 kind of SLR..

The Tripod is 10" tall only... its not what it show in product picture in this page... but tripod is good if someone looking for small height tripod...its not made up of cheap metal...

The tripod illustrated in the photo of the item is not the one included in the kit.The tripod is tiny. A table model. When the three section telescoping legs are fully extended, it is about 10" tall.Personally, I WOULD NOT mount a DSLR camera on this tripod. I probably will use this tripod to hold an external slave flash.The Starter Kit came in a box measured 8x8x6. That should tell you what you might expect.For [$] sales price and in store pickup, it is an ok value. Otherwise.. pass on deal.

Well photo inidicates a huge tripod, however the length is nowhere mentioned. On [@] similar product indicates the tripod length as 12". Thats too small when one looks at the "low resolution" photo provided. Waste of time coming to this site.
