Every 5th or 6th photo does not come out and ends up as a file with an 'error.' I use the camera for personal and business use. I found that I MUST take multiple photos of everything in order to ensure that I don't lose memories. Also, I take photos of homes for listings...and if I don't take multiple pictures, the most important one is the one that doesn't come out (ends up as an error photo). I got this the day after Christmas and am disaapointed, but at first I thought maybe it was just me, and I needed to "learn" how to use the camera...nope, it's true, this camera really does suck! Anyone want to buy it from me? I'll give it to you for $2. It's not even worth that. Pay a few extra bucks and get a better camera. [...] what happended to your quality Samsung?

I initially bought this camera on black friday, Nov 28 2008 in NY. I thought the design of the camera and it's features were great, especially the fact that you can go back to video clips and capture images from them. I thought that feature was spectacular, and still do. I have not found another camera that does that....not yet anyway. The problem was that the camera often froze up, causing me to miss potentially great shots and wait upwards of three minutes if I actually wanted to wait for it to unfreeze.

Besides the freezing (which was the deal-breaker for me) the other issue with the camera is the fact that even when it's not freezing up, it is generally slow. The lag time is long. So to make a long story short, I sadly returned the camera 30 days after purchase.

I went back to camera shopping, but couldn't find a camera with the ability to capture pics from video, so I ended up buying the same model in DC on January 19th 2009. I was hoping that perhaps the camera I had in November was defective. Once again, it had the same problems, so I returned it. Now I am on the prowl again.

If it wasn't for the frequent freezing and long lag time, this camera would be absolutely perfect!

I received this as a Christmas present and the first thing I noticed was how blurry the photos came out. Even when I wasn't holding the camera and using the self timer the photos would come out horribly blurry. =[ Just like everyone else has been saying the camera freezes up when viewing the pictures. and there isn't much you can do about except remove the battery. also the camera would say "Photo Error" on some of my photos when i tried to view them on the camera, but they would turn up fine on my computer.
I wouldn't even waste my time on this camera, its too much of a hassle and doesn't even offer anything special. =[

Good, Cheap Camera BUT I went through 3 Cameras and 4 batteries before I finally got one that would accept a charge. I love the camera, but the battery is lacking. [...]But 4 trips back to the Shack is a bit much.... And nobody carries a replacement battery for this model.. I'm still wating for Samsung to ship me a new one.. 3 Weeks allready....

I bought this camera for my son for Christmas. He kept getting a file error, so I took it back and was told that they sold me the wrong card, so I got the RIGHT card. WRONG!!! It's freezing up when he tries to view his pictures and says file error. I am truly disappointed in this product. I thought Samsung was a good product. I won't buy another one.

A little complicated to use, but I find the using the photo help guide very useful in learning the product and a unique tool. I have the 2gb memory card which is great. I like that it is compact. and the 10.2 mega pixels is the best. My pictures are always awesome.

My zoom pictures came out great and were as sharp and vivid as if I took them close up.

The self portrait is better than my old camera.

I take a lot of close ups and the pictures are never distorted.

I finally bought this Camera on Black Friday. It was working great until I started viewing my pictures on a regular basis. It now freezes itself constantly. There is nothing you can do until you take the batterey out. Unfortunaley this has happened to more than a few of the Samsung L200's. I believe there is a manufacturers default in this model. I was hoping that it was just the memory card, but to my dismay it is not :( I even work at RadioShack and am very sad to have to take it back. I would not recommend this specific camera to anyone!!

I love this camera. It is small and is easy to carry anywhere. It takes excellent photo's and video with the exception of the sound quality in the videos which is very low. The color is vivid and the images are crisp but the camera has a tendency to loose your photos with an error message that says the file had an error and can not be downloaded. For a camera, I feel that this is a huge problem. Unfortunately I am returning my Samsung L200 today.

My sister got this camera in August and she loves it. She is a teenager and is constantly taking pictures of her and her friends. It has a battery that lasts a while between charges. The camera is also very small, which is great!

I love so many features of this camera;
1. It's beautiful appearance
2. Choices of sepia, color, b&w, etc.
3. Ability to edit videos, trim and splice them
4. Ability to capture photos from video
5. Clear wonderful photos
6. Picture slide show with music options, and special effects

BUT I absolutely will not be able to tolerate the following any longer.

1. The camera freezes all the time
2. Often end up having 2 take the battery out 2 turn off
3. When pics are transfered to my computer it causes my computer to have error messages pop up about windows explorer and it often won't allow me to view transfered files. Then it resets my screen, closing down the folder with the pics.
4. Quite a few pics I take end up being file errors and I have to delete them

I have tried a number of things to fix these problems. I hoped at first that it was just the memory card, but honestly at this point I am not convinced. I bought it and a 4gb SDHC card on black friday, and sadly will be returning it today. I REALLY wish it didn't freeze and mess w the pic files. It would have been a perfect camera at a perfect price. I'm sad :-(

I bought one of these and a 4gb card and it started freezing up 2 days after i bought it. I took it back and they said it was the card. i couldnt get the pics off the card either so i bought a new card that was not it took it back and got another camera and card and the first 10 pictures it froze and kept freezing up. This is a nice camera, to say the least. I got this camera to replace my other that was recently stolen. As I turned on the camera it came to my immediate attention that there is an annoying brightness problem when I take the picture. When I hold the button down, it will go darker. Very irritating.

it exceeded my expectations. did not think picture quality was gonna be this good at this price range. most images are crystal clear. only complaint is zoom function will result in blurry image slightly and doesn't record sound while zooming in movie mode. but if you're just looking to take great pics without having to spend a lot of money, this camera is simply amazing.

This camera is really small, and the quality of the pictures is disappointing. Noise occures at ISO400, super-low tolerance for low light, shutter lag long when in Stabilization mode... Have to return it.

I really like this camera. My kids also like it and use this camera lot. I was able to record about 5 minutes of a dance of my daughter in church and it worked beautifully. It takes great clear pictures. I use it for all school activities.

I went through 4 of these!
I bought 2 for taking Stereo 3D pictures.
One had a white line running down the side of the pictures! Took it to a local Radio Shack store and they replaced it no questions asked. I dropped the other and it "died" when the tripod threads pulled out when I tightened the screw, they exchanged that one too! My 30 days are up now, so I'd better be careful.

I recieved the L200 red model for my birthday, because my other camera did not have a rechargeable battery with it and it was only a 8.1 megapixel camera and the new L200 is a 10.2 megapixel camera. I love this camera and yes I would recommend this camera to a friend.

My daughter bought this camera yesterday and has not put it down. She has had many cameras and this camera is clear, takes the best action pictures(ones where you are driving down the road, taking pictures of landscape)and this camera allows you to zoom in on the pictures and save the new size, it also allows you to piece videos together. Great buy.

I was taking pictures and I didn't like it, so I delete it and I thought I had deleted the first pictures that I took with my sister and daughter and for my surprise the pictures are not on the memory card but in the camera itself. I could see the pictures on tv and I don't know how to take them out.

The only bad thing is that why you put on the red eye flash it flashes before the real flash. It may disrupt the picture because they think the first flash is the actual picture causing many funny looking pictures. This can be avoided however if you turn on a different type of flash or dont use it at all. But when you first power on the camera it automatically sets it as a double flash.

I love the sleek features and color, but if you were to be at a celebrity fan meeting or a sports game, you would be very disappointed. Supposedly changing the ISO would minimize shutter lag, but I hate the wait. Non-flash reduces it by a few fractions of a second.
