Good product and like the fact that it has maps for the USA and Europe. Don't buy refurbished as in mine the battery will not charge more then 50% and the maps are old versions. To update the maps TomTom wants $89.95 for USA and $55.80 for Western Europe. You are better off buying a new one!

Consider also buying a wall charger to charge the unit while on the road.

This purchase is our 2nd TomTom GO930. We love the 1st one, bought 3 years ago, but wanted one of the new "thinner" models for an upcoming trip to Italy. We used the old one in Italy 3 years ago & were astounded by the accuracy for even the most remote locations. However, we would reconsider purchasing a "refurbished" item again - even though the price was great. Although the GPS itself works fine, we have had a lot of problems with the remote control. It seems to have a short or something. Sometimes it works fine, but will often not reconnect after we have made a stop. The other problem we have had, although I don't think this has anything to do with being refurbished, is the mount. The mount on our old model has always held extremely well even though the old model is much larger and heavier. The new mount works very poorly. Almost every time we use the GPS, the mount becomes unattached from the window, despite having tried many remedies, i.e.: cleaning window, pressing very, very hard, avoiding bumps in road, etc. The old mount has a twisting mechanism that works much better to keep the unit on the window than the current model's mount. After purchasing the new model we are still considering taking the old one on our trip to Italy, even though it will be much less convenient, in terms of size, weight, etc.

I travel 50k plus mi per year so the unit has to be dependable and accurate...
so far so good...i was leary about buying a refurb but into the 2nd month with no issues.
My only negative comment is that i drive a van, the tom tom with mtg bracket will fall off from time to time if I leave it up in hot weather...
