I use this camera nearly every day! I love it! It rarely leaves my side. I recommend getting a seperate bag to keep it in though (camcorder carry bag). The lense cap comes off easily and in its own bag the lense is less likely to get scratched.

I have been eying this camera for a while now and finally jumped at it. All the reviews on this product are accurate. This camera exceeded my expectations. I've owns Fuji Camera's in the past and have been happy, this camera is no different.

It has so many settings, I have not been able to really get into it. Along with the simple auto - point and click setting, you can go so far as to fully control every setting you would with a high end 35mm camera.

There is a lot here to enjoy! Seriously consider this one before they are all gone!

Best camera I have ever seen for under $1,000 dollars! it's made allmost completley of duable light alluminum, it has the best anti-shake feature i've seen on an xlr and and it has a 10X zoom! can you ask for anything else at that price!! oh.. you want to switch between 3 modes of picture taking, all custumisable, like speed shots, landscape, and nature, just by the turn of a dial? well it's got that too. As you can tell i have one and love it. buy and enjoy

Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, Easy Setup, Great software cd
Best Uses:

One thing not mentioned in previous reviews is the software program that comes with the camera.I took pictures at an outdoor concert. The stage lighting was poor. Some pictures came out dark.
Just a couple of clicks with the software program corrected the pictures. All in all I just love this camera.

I bought this camera being an owner of the older S3100 model. I was impressed with the earlier model before but there is no comparing. The S700 is the best camera for the price.
The pictures are phenomenal. The macro zoom feature allows for ultra crisp pictures on close up shots. The ability for using both SD memory cards and xD picture cards makes it so that no card from your old camera goes to waste.
Simply put, a Great Buy!

By RW W from WV on 5/17/2007

I have the Fuji Films Fine Pix S3100 which is a 4.0 mega pixel, when I saw the SLR styled S700 I had to have it. The LCD display is awesome @ 2.5" There are multi screen options while shooting so you can review your previous shots while preparing for you next shot. So much more that's there, just buy it and see for yourself.

By Derek W from Dawsonville, Ga on 4/20/2007

Great things will come from this camera! Lots of advanced features that you just will not see in a camera at this price. You can hold the shutter open for 4 seconds and close it as fast as 1/1000 of a second.. lets you take professional shots and it is also great for the first time user. Thank you Fuji for this one :)

By asa e from Philadelphia on 4/17/2007

this is a great camera for someone making a transistion camera from analog to digital. It takes 2 types of memory cards so it's hard to get caught in a jam. I also lets you view pictures on other xd or sd cards no matter what camera you were using. The only con is that it doesn't let you replay movies but it's still a great camera to have. I got it to replace my first digital camera and I can tell you that this is a great camera even for a first time user.
