We bought this helicopter for our 22 month old son because he always wanted to play with Dad's expensive RC toys. We can not believe that this thing is still flying! Our son doesn't get steering so he just full throttles it into the ceiling over and over and over. It has crashed into everything in our house, been chased and caught by the dogs, and manhandled by a two year old and it still flies. My husband and his brothers like flying it too. We have even gotten their girlfriends and wives to fly it since we have proven that a few crashes will not break it. My only warning is do not fly it outside. It has a great range but is too light and will be taken away by the wind. Ours was up about 30 feet and got carried down the street and out of sight and came crashing down. We went and found it, took it inside, and went right back to flying.

Low quality rotor blades
By Spiderman fan from West Palm Beach, FL on 4/11/2008
Pros:
Easy to Control
Cons:
Flimsy, Poor Construction
Best Uses:
Indoors
Describe Yourself:
Parent of Two or More Children
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Product very easy to control and flies great but rotor blades brake easily, fragile construction, probably you are going to have to replace them after a few crashes. Also their replacement cost including shipment is about same price as the whole helicopter. Another suggestion...use it indoor only because when wind blows makes flight unstable and eventually helicopter will crash.

I bought one of these for a christmas present and played with it for a few minutes. I finally bought one the other day. Have 2 big dogs that have chomped the thing about 100x throwing it to the floor making the styrofoam look like it was pelted with a rail gun and it is still money. If you or your child has an IQ over 12 you will find it is well worth the bills.

This has got to be hands down the best rc helicopter I have ever bought. I have flown Picco Z'z, havoc's, and others including the mosquito form the same company which costs about twice as much. The only two copters worth flying are the Spiderman and the Mosquito. All others just fly some variation of a circle pattern and are extremely hard to control. I wish I would have bought the spiderman 3 rescue to begin with. I probably would have still bought the mosquito but never any of the other copters that can only dream of the ease of use and stability of the Spiderman 3 helicopter. Spidy is even more stable and easier to control than the Mosquito.

All the people that have given this helicopter bad reviews probably have never tried flying similar copters in the same price range. You can easily fly this for and entire charge without crashing it while trying to rescue the men which I have placed on my pool table. And it fly's about 40% longer on a charge than any rc copter I have ever had.

The product is alot of fun to fly. I am a real helicopter pilot and found this to be fun and easy to fly in the house. On a bad note I had to order new flying blades after just a very short time. The cost of them are 3/4 the price of the whole toy. Will buy a better product from another company.

I get plenty of flying time out of mine. Roters do bang into each other if there is a cross wind...my solution is to simply use it in a room without a cross wind. I find this copter easy to control and I can make percision landings. I am happy with what it is [...]

I also have an Airhog and this one is way better! Way more stable and easier to control. Probably not as tough as the Airhog, but much easier to fly so it shouldn't crash as much. Young children will probably destroy this or any other heli. [...]

This helicopter is great. The first time trying to fly i thought it was horrible, the next day i decided to try again and after adjusting it and using less intense movements on the controls it worked perfect!! Fly's really good and very durable. It is also a challenge to pick up the guys. After about a days practice i can pick them up every once and a while. I would definitely recoomend anybody this product. I am also going to buy my self a couple more so when friends come over we can all fly!

The trim control required considerable tweaking to get it trim but once that was done it flies very well. Not a bad choice for a beginner R/C indoor heli.

Helicopter works great, about as good as you can get for an indoor helicopter without breaking the bank. The blades are designed to break before the rest of the unit so that your not replacing the whole helicopter. Overall they are duable though, has seen many 30 foot drops and house plants with no problem getting back up.

Don't Bother
By B from RI on 12/11/2007
Pros:
None
Cons:
Flimsy, Low Quality
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought two of these. One for myself and one for my little brother. Did as the instructions said (use and charging). After 15 seconds of full flying mine would not hover 1 inch higher than the floor. Its like the motor got bound up and wouldn't spin up to full speed. So I repackaged it for return and tried the other one. This one climbed fine but after a few seconds the lifting blades would get too wobbly and hit each other, sending the heli to the floor.

The quality just isn't there, especially for the price.

Yes the rotors seem flimsy, but overall the helicopter has been very durable. The rotors bend instead of break. Ive flown mine around all week, and its been very fun, and Ive only needed to repair one rotor, which I did with tape in about 20 seconds. The only con is that it must be flown indoors, other wise the slightest wind will push it to the ground. That may have been the problem other poeple have had.

Too flimsy don't buy

Easy to fly, Looks Nice
Cons:
crashed almost every time, Flimsy, Poor construction
Best Uses:
Office Decoration, One hour of fun
Describe Yourself:
Parent of Two or More Children
Bottom Line:

The rotors on the helicopter are very flimsy. This combined with the fact that almost every landing for me was a crash landing resulted in broken rotors after one day. You can fix it for awhile with tape which is better than the replacement rotors. When I bought those and tried to put them on they would not fit. Too tight. When I tried to pull them off the entire helicopter broke. What a waste of money. This product is very very flimsy and will break quickly for anyone especially a child. It lasted a day for me, an adult, do not buy for a kid.
