This R/C is the best I've ever owned! One problem with it is that the charger only plugs into a car's DC outlet, although they do sell some AC chargers for the battery. Another problem is that the bottom skis wear out quickly when driven on concrete or black-top. This hydro plane goes very fast and it is very fun. This plane also comes with two tubes of foam glue and two extra props. I drive it almost every day.

i have had so much fun with this, the only place i used it was the pool, because the field was wet, and it was raining. it comes with 3 extra propellers and 2 tubes of modeling glue!! the only thing wrong with this is because it has a dc car charger. the ac car charger is [...]it comes with a battery too! i thnik it should have a longer run time, 7-10 min. this is a great plane,boat,car, vehicle.

I just read the reviews and I notice that the first ten or so were negitive. The NEW HydroFly II has 4 improvements, longer battery life, new servos. When turning only just use the rudder momentary as it will crash easy. The foam is very easy to glue together and I has almost as much fun repairing it.
Parts are available for it. When putting the propeller back on the numbers face you. Ir works well in dirt, concrete, water and air, however I have been unable to get it to take off from any surface. All in all it is one of my favorite R/C aircraft.

I am now in my forties and this past christmas I bought this for my two boys. My older son is 17, and my younger one is 9. Although when i first saw this I got the impression that it would be only for my older son and I, but I was wrong. As soon as we opened the box we had the most hassel free time; everything was all together in great shape and all we needed to do was deal with the batteries. We went to a nearby pond and let it take off right from the ice. We all took turns; I got it up in the air for a litle bit doing great then gave it to my eldest son. My younger one seemed to be disapointed not being able to try,so after a while i asked my older son to let my younger try for just a bit and for him to supervise the flight. I was preparing myself for a disaster like he usually has when he uses a r/c plane. this time, suprisingly he controlled it the best out of all three of us! He really enjoyed it too and now is asking me to take him to the field on Saturdays to have some more fun with this amazing product. Thank you megatech!

It is cool that the Hydro takes off from water and land, even not to use elevator. Maybe not perfect for kids, but for teenager will be lots of fun.

I bought it for my grandkids but I use it almost as much as they do. It is a lot of fun and and the learning curve is a short one. I like it, they like it, it is fun to play with. I am going to guy three more two for the other grand kids and one for me!!!

This is the greatest product I have ever seen. It was easy to use, and performed like a dream. I saw a lot people post negatives about it, so I guess not everyone is capable to use something that my 10 year old flys all the time. Those people should stick to reading a book for entertainment. Overall this product was supper durable and takes off without any hesitation. Tons of power and super durable. I really like the fast charger for my car. I do not have to wait many hours. 20-30 minutes is all it takes and my son is ready to go. My son hit a sign the other day it bounced off and he kept flying. I highly recommend this amazing High tech Toy. I have tried others in the market place and my son found this one to be the best hands down. One recommendation I can make is if you cannot comprehend as good as a 10 year old kid then this product is not for you. Enjoy. I am buying my second one this week so me and my son can fly together.

This is the coolest r/c product. It is easy to control on land, air and in the water. It taught me how to fly.... Everytime I use it a crowd of people gather to view me and my kids flying.

I never tried anything like this but the first time I ran it out into the water and pushed the fly button, well the kid in me had my heart racing it was better than the old fly by string planes we had in the 60's and it's a RC that's affordable.

This product was horrible. The whole bottom came off after about 3 minutes of play time. It only flew once then lost its ability. What a horrible waste of money. Do yourself a favor and do not invest a single cent into this product.

First time RC Flyer here, First flight i got it up, circled the lake and landed on my back yard, every time after that i crashed. won't turn sometimes and flies out of range. broke a piece out of wing, 1 wing stabalizer came off in middle of lake. Engine cover popped off. Repaired all and still flew, however wind flipped it in the lake (wasnt even running) after that it wouldn't start up, not even the rudders. Think water shorted something. Dissappointing for a water craft. When you first open it be sure to cycle the battery otherwise you will ruin it. DON'T TRY TO FLY THIS IN WIND ABOVE 5MPH!!!!

i have gotten it off of the ground but it only stays up there for about five minutes without the battery dieing. This would be a great product if the battery lasted longer.

Lets just say I had a pretty pi**ed of son on christmas morning when he tried to fly his plane. One of the most epensive gifts I bought him and was the worst. The plane didnt even rise 3 feet from the ground for 2 minutes before it was no good. motor fell out and detach from wires so that was [$] for 2 minutes of play time how great was that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This product is truly horrible, it does not work. I am truly dissatisfied with this plane. The first time my son took it out the side wings and the tail wing broke off. I was going to keep it. However after allowing it to charge in my car for 30 minutes he took it out again and the whole front broke off. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS TRASH.

It has taken all day using the car charger, 3 charges to get it to the point of being able to use it. I have just finished looking on line, trying to find where they say that you use your cigarette lighter charger to charge this plane. Total waste of time, money, gift wrap and freight charges. Why not a regular charger that you can plug into an electrical plug? I bought two, but am going to return one that has not been touched. Father and son talked on the phone, son tried it out...called his dad and said not to waste his time. That was our Christmas Present to him, nice huh? You to can feel like an idiot, just give someone this as a gift.....

Probably shouldn't get for your first flying toy, since the controls aren't super easy, but that's probably why the ages are recommended for 12 and up. It works pretty well for an inexpensive flyer. Unless you crash it really bad I'm not sure how the other reviewers are breaking them. I've enjoyed ours.

Poor quality. Fragile. Broke first time out. Not enough power to get it off the ground. Do your child a favor and don't disappoint him with this worthless toy. It only comes with a car charger. Very cheap.

You gotta be kidding me .. A CAR CHARGER???? We got 2 of these for the needy children on the local Angel Tree program. I'm glad we took everything out of the box before actually giving them this. What kid's going to have a car outlet readily available? I could understand making one available along with a 110 charger, that'd be kinda handy .. but to make it the ONLY option is just an attempt to save money. Make a decent product and charge more for it! I would've gladly paid id. I grew up with [...] having good quality products. I guess I'll have to rethink that.

I was very disapointed by the fragile nature of the flight craft. I only used it for about 5 minutes and already the tail was broke and the wing broke off after landing in a grass field.
Do not spend the money, time or effort into purchasing this gift because you will be returnig it!!!!.

This airplane sucks. the first time I actually got this thing flying the whole front piece, the tail and the water ski broke off.This planes propellers are thin too. My propeller broke the first time a put its engine to full power.This plane is just stinks so I advise you not to buy it. Dont waste your money people!
OUT OF ABOUT 8 DIFFERENT RC PLANES, THIS ONE BEING THE MOST EXPENSIVE WAS THE WORST. YOUR LUCKY IF YOU CAN GET IT MORE THAN 10 FEET IN THE AIR. THE RUDDER BREAKS EVERYTIME YOU FLY. BAD VALUE. DO NOT BUY. WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!
