This thing was only [$]! It does exactly what it says. It's able to read my MS card adapter with micro sd's inside. My Vaio with MSpro magic gate slot, can't even do that. Oh! I also can read some old sim cards with numbers/info I lost. I would get 10 more of these at [$]. WOW I'll baby it cuase it's not the best built/sturdy product. If it holds up, I'll never have to buy another card reader ever.

Cost me more in time and frustration than $. Would not work with Windows VISTA or Windows 7; memory stick or SD card. [...] That's a sure sign of a lousy product - not plug & play. User installed driver = hack.In my past experience w/ Sakar drivers, they waste more time. Besides, even if they worked, who needs the hassle of cajoling IT Support to come install drivers for a measly card reader?

I bought this in a bind because i needed a card reader for reading my 8gb Micro sd card in my wii. Ive used the thing a total of 2 times.

Tonight i went to go use it, it has been sitting in my desk for about 3 months. It will read my card for about 10 seconds then stop. i can start to copy items and the activity light just stops. Tried a different cable and same problem. GOOD for if you want to use it 1 time and toss it in the garbage. THX for the piece of junk!

Comments about Sakar Sakar All-in-One Card Reader with SIM Slot:

I noticed it had a normal USB port that I could use to plug it in, so I just stuck in my usual USB chord that I connect to my phone, waited a few seconds, then Windows XP said there was a problem installing the hardware. Drivers I figured. I installed those then tried again. Five removable storage devices showed up in My Computer, but when I tried to click on one of them I realized it froze up, so I couldn't click on anything. I unplugged/plugged back in several times but it just kept freezing My Computer. I did a quick Google search and read something about the chords, so I tried the chord that came with it. Problem fixed, but I don't see how that would affect it, it's just plain stupid. What I did like about it once I got it working was how the icons in My Computer lit up to tell you that a memory card was inserted. However that and the fact that it at least works are the only pros, I wouldn't recommend it to anybody, it's cheap. There are much better products out there that are much easier to install and don't have as many bad reviews. Just get something else.

This thing is junk. I inserted my SDHC card, it worked for 2 seconds and then locked up my computer (Dual core, 2GB RAM, Vista 32-bit). I rebooted, tried to use it again, same thing. It locked up my computer 3 times, and I was done with it. I honestly don't know how this product made it to production. I gave it one star because negative 5 stars wasn't available.

I returned this one for the Targus 32-in-1 which works great. And it's cheaper.

I called customer service as this was the 2d digital concepts reader I bought and wasn't working.
They asked what size card are you using, I said 4gb, they said that's the problem right there. It almost works, and that's the worst part. You can see the images on the card but not the thubnails, okay, no big deal I just download them and check them out on the hd. That's when the next set of problems start. Buy anything else but stay away from these card readers by digital concepts. Does anybody still use 2gb cards or 1gb cards for that matter. Why don't they put a disclaimer on the package stating it will not accept cards larger than 2gb.

Used this card reader about 20 times. On the 21st time, a pin came off into my CF chip. I did not know that it came off until my camera would not work. Because the pin was still in my chip it bent the pin in my camera. (deep within my one month old Canon 5D Mk II) BTW, warranty does not cover that. Spent 11 weeks in the repair center. Cost $780. to fix camera. Oh ya. it ruined my $99. 16 gig CF card too. I can see by the design of this reader why it broke. The CF chip well is not deep enough to make sure that you are pointed straight in.

I just bought a MAC and left the reader's USB cable plugged in while the computer was in SLEEP mode. Next morning, the computer had about 100+ error messages, saying the USB port was drawing too much power. The only cable attached was the readers (with no cards inserted) so I picked it up and it was BURNING HOT! All the plastic had warped and began to singe in places.

Had no problems with either card and transfered several gigs of image data respectably fast (20-50sec). Will have to see what happens over time.

Needed a reader fast and got this at the nearby RadioShack very cheap and reading a whole lot of cards. Plugged in without driver yielded no responce. Inserted the mini CD, click'd setup and in seconds itstall finished and it was reading SD cards, eject one and insert the next. Works. Thumbnails appear fast and transfer speed is OK. Red LED indicates it's standby. It doesn't get hot nor fuzzy. Looks tenderly build but this is not a hammer. Treated with care it works. Leave the cable connected and wrap it loosely for transport.

I tried to use this on my Dell laptop running Windows XP. I followed the instructions to read a compact flash card from my Canon Rebel XT. Plugged in the card reader to USB, then plugged in the CF card. After about 3 minutes, several drives showed up, but no files. I tried about 7 more times and saw files once. I tried to copy them to an external drive that is also USB and I could not write to that drive (it has always worked fine before). I am going to return this today!

Took a few quick images, used on another computer they apppeared on the screen, used the card adapter on a different computer and was not able to read and those images were lost by just pulling the flash card into the adapter so the adapter destroyed images. Good job found out now because photographing a wedding and would have lost everything. Comments about Sakar Sakar All-in-One Card Reader with SIM Slot:

I was very frustrated with this because I commonly use SD, microSD, xD, MS Pro Duo and SIM cards. This reader could recognize all the different formats but it would be horrendously slow when copying/transferring files. However, when I replaced the usb cord with one of my own (the one that came with my PSP) the speeds were very decent and I had no more problems with freezing while reading cards. So the reader is cheap, but works, but get your OWN usb cord for it because the supplied cord is junk.

Bottom Line:

Comments about Sakar Sakar All-in-One Card Reader with SIM Slot:

Well, I needed a card reader to read my media at once rather than connecting different devices via USB all the time. I figured why not buy this and just insert the card rather than look for the device and the cables. Ok so I bought it. Its fairly small and claims it can read a lot of cards. It doesnt read the sim cards at all. Best of all, it freezes windows or runs extremely slow when connected and will stay that way unless you disconnect it. But if I get it to read a card of mine, here is what I have experienced:

Data transfer is EXTREMELY slow...so slow that I wanted to break it into pieces.

My devices such as cameras read the card in lightspeed compared to this.

I used a PSP to read my Memory stick pro duo and it transers data faily fast...On the other hand, it would take this device 8 minutes to transfer about 5 megs.

The slow speed is 100% the card reader, no question about it.

So if you can tolerate the slow speed and the freezing, this little gadget is your best bet.

I bought this to read SIM cards. What a disappointment. It did not read any AT&T 3G cards, but it did read an old Cingular card from a Nokia 6340. My advice: if you've got a newer AT&T phone, it probably won't read your SIM card.

Only good feature is the Micro SD slot is easier to use than the adapters needed for most readers.

I bought it because of Micro SD slot so I do not have to use Micro SD -> SD convertor to upload music to my cell. SIM slot looks also useful but I haven't tried it yet. No drivers are required for SD or Micro SD slot in Win XP SP2. Tried following cards: 1GB SD (FAT16), 2GB SD (FAT16), 4 GB MMC+ (FAT32), 2GB Miro SD (FAT16). All worked without problems. I haven't tried other slots or SD-HC cards so no rating on those.

Comments about Sakar Sakar All-in-One Card Reader with SIM Slot:

I bought this to transfer data to my cell phone sim. Seems to work OK, but I have difficulty getting my PC to recognize the USB link. Have to restart/connect/reconnect several times before the PC sees the connection. Also, it will NOT recognize 4 Gig SD-HC cards.

I've worked in IT for over 15 years and this is not a RTFM or PICNIC issue (despite Joe's suggestion) the driver disk is simply empty.

If you have purchased one - return it and get the Targus version. (Which works on both PC or MAC without the need for a driver.)

I bought this little thing for really one thing...to back up my GPS SD storage disk, but what a dream. I love the plug n play and quick as a bunny I was finished. Tried it on my camera XD disk too...so cool no running down the batteries in my camera downloading pictures. Woohoo!

Comments about Sakar Sakar All-in-One Card Reader with SIM Slot:

I a work in I.T. and got this for Sim Card editing. It does this perfectly well and more.
I installed and had everything running in 5 mins without reading the instructions, its that simple.

One thing, the included Sim Editing software is weak - but you can find better utilities out there if you look.

So if you were born in the last 30+ years or are familiar with PC's this works just great.

I don't like negative reviews becuase of ID ten T errors.

Comments about Sakar Sakar All-in-One Card Reader with SIM Slot:

Before reading the bad reviews, I bought this CR-75 device for my different cards. Then after not getting a driver on the mini CD, I went to the Internet and found the same results. Device manager said that the device was having problems too. After 5 hours of frustration (and just about taking the thing back), I noticed that one of my USB cables had the same connection as did the end of the usb cable that the CR-75 had, I had a MP3 player connected to the computer on another usb port, and when I connected the one with the CRW reader BANG SHAZAM! the reader began working. And has been working (as drives) ever since (with out the MP3 player connected. It looks like the Reader is using the USB driver that the MP3 player is (now). Also the sim reader works great. - no more problems. I am working with XP SP2 on a DelL Power Edge 400SC.

No Driver On Line. Mini CD not useable

Comments about Sakar Sakar All-in-One Card Reader with SIM Slot:

I tried to use this Sakar 51 in 1 card reader with my iMac. The computer would not recognize and I was unable to use the mini-CD provided with the CR-75 in my iMac superdrive. The Sakar web site does not even list the product and does not provide a driver either. I hope I will be able to return this off brand item and get a name brand product such as Lexar or Adobe.
This is one more case of trying to save money on a low cost item and recalling the old saying, "the pain of poor quality lives on long after the joy of low price is forgotten".

I have to give it one star out of five because that's how many times you need to plug it in to the USB port before it works. (One out of ever five times it works) Software? - now there's a joke. Yes it comes with software (a small disk) but it didn't seem to work for me. I was very disappointed with this product. [...]

Comments about Sakar Sakar All-in-One Card Reader with SIM Slot:

SIM Card read feature is not Cingular friendly does not recognize one and does not read another. It will read and recognize Motorola SIM Cards.
I like the other card reader options. I never know what is going to be thrown at me to review so this is great because of the variety of cards it will read.
