Great product, i got my first one a few months back, when they were still [$] and loved it. unfortunately i took it to a track meet and someone stepped on the screen and the lcd broke. But, im goin to buy a new one real soon cause its the best mp3 player in its class
Sandisk are the only music players that fit my life style,I listen to npr news every day and when I don't have time to listen to it,the one touch recording lets me record my program from the radio to listen to later. Now in the past I purchased the ipod and returned it a day later because it just couldn't compete with my Sandisk Sansa. The sandisk sansa e280 has many feature like customize sound EQ so you could adjust the setting to your own music sound quality with a few easy to use steps,it also has FM radio, voice recording, video, and photo viewing. Most of all it has lots of music storage, more than I will ever need anyway.Plus it come with a micro SD memory card slot so that you could add even more music to your player up to 2gb to be exact. One more thing is that the price for sandisk sansa is reasonable compared to the high cost of the ipod. And I also think that the sound quality of the sandisk sansa if a lot better than that of the ipod.Icould go on and on about the wonderful product the sandisk sansa is,but that all for now and if you are thinking about buying another player then consider in investing your money in the Sandisk Sansa E200 series of mp3 players.

I am currently deployed and this mp3player is one of the best i have ever owned ( 5 previous) i am very hard on them and for 4 gigs this isnt bad, the only downfall is the storage. mine worked great untill it got ran over by a 30,000 pound truck. but the only thing that got hurt was the battery if i can find one then i will still use this one, if not then i will buy another
It is the best mp3 player I have ever had (i've had 3,all broken)recommend to all
i mosty use this going on the road.its just a great mp3. also there are nothing bad about it
My friend let me barrow it for the weekend overall its "hide-able" awesome sound, reliable, YES it looks pretty lol i added two more gigs to it so i could put all my music on it and i love the wireless feature.
So far so good. I've only had it for about a week and it's been working just fine for me.
The only problem I had was that it froze once, but all I had to do was push down the power button for about 45 seconds and restart it and it was working fine again. I would definetly recommend this to a friend!
I love that it was fairly easy to setup; easy to manage my lists; great battery life; after a year of so, the spin wheel doesn't work right; it's frustrating to spin one way and selections jump around and go all over; I eventually get to the grouping I want.
Easy to use. Video is easy to add however screen is a bit small. Great buy. Only exception is I dropped it and the screen cracked rather easily.
Use at the gym everyday, shuffle really doesn't shuffle through all the songs it replays the same ones before going through them all.
2nd time it died on me and would not power back up, lost all my songs.
I love the product it freezes every now and then but it is great if your bored. Also if you cant download songs off of a computer you can record off the radio.Off any FM station.I can put pictures with a clear view .Videos with tremendous color.NIce sound. Overall this product is good for anyone who likes to travel. This is a duriable device.
I have read others reviews for this that have said that their sansa has broken, dosent have good sound, etc. But when I prurchased mine, this wasnt the case...and still isnt. I love how the scroll bar lights up to a blue and it STILL is working for me. The sound has not gotten any worse and I have dropped it a few times and it has yet to break! I think this is an excellent mp3 and would recommend to all!
I like the fact I have a choice of radio or my music I-pod don't give you that option! Has not frozen up on us once and there is a variety of options to choose from when you are buying. Brought the Sansa clip for my teens and they love them as well. It was pretty easy to set up considering I am not tech. saavy at all! Buying one for my Husband for V-Day!

this is an okay product. its easy to figure out but....... mine broke at the fourth month .you can still hear the music but the screen absulutly wont work. just my thoughts on the pruduct make your owne desission.
I bought this Sansa when it was on sale, and while it is a good player, it falls short of the mark in comparison to my iPods. The player is everything the other reviews have said (sounds great, looks great, and the FM tuner, recorder, and expandable memory are features iPod needs to jump on board with because they are terribly nifty), but the drag-and-drop feature is what kills this player for me. My music collection is an absolute mess, with songs scattered over two hard drives and repeated songs galore, and the playlist becomes pandemonium if I simply drag-and-drop my entire collection onto the Sansa. If your collection is small and simple, then all means grab this player, but otherwise, prepare to spend more time sorting through your music collection than listening to it.

This Mp3 player worked well for about 2 months then needed formating for a virus it now has froze at least 12 time is the past month [...]
If this doesn't have everything you want in an MP3 player, I can't imagine what it is. I use its recorder before going to the grocery store. I have connected it to my car stereo and it works great. I have different music collections, and keep them separaely on the flash cards. And I have pictures of my grandson that look great on the screen. AND, I lost the instructions, but it took about 5 minutes to figure out how to use everything.

I had this product for 6 months. It worked great at first but right at the 6th month it would not play my music, it froze to much and it said i needed to charge up after I had left it all night charging...this product was very important I not only use it for my personal needs but for my business as well..this was a shame...good thing I had the warrenty
My spouse and I got these from Santa. What a great investment. They are alot cheaper than the iPods and they work alot better. Many of my co-workers have the iPods and they have noting but trouble with them. I love the way you can drag and drop stuff onto it. It's so simple to use that my computer illiterate spouse was able to use it straight out of the box without my help.
I had this device for about a year and just recently it froze after I recharged it... It was a great device for about 11 months.I would say it would be better than an ipod if it never froze.
I have heard many MP3 Players and for my money you just can't beat this little wonder. I found it very easy tp set up and the sample tracks pre-programmed into it give you a very good idea right from the outset that you have a player that is nice to listen to and with extremely clean and crisp sound quality. It has enough storage for my needs. I listen to everything from Classical to Rock and this player really delivers. My only complaints are that the lanyard packaged with it is far too short and that is comes with no AC adaptor. Other than that, I could not have done better and am very satisfied.
Absolutely beautiful screen. Blows my daughters ipod away! easily upgradable cheap memory. Clear sound. And again I am very impressed by the quality of the screen on this player. Shows our home videos with amazing clarity.
I really think the sansa "lil monsta" mp3 players are much nicer than other mp3 players because they are cheaper. The e260 has a great screen and great sound quatlity. Although it is some what difficult to set up, once you get the hang of using Windows Media Player, it gets much easier. Although you can put videos on the e260, its kind of silly to because the screen is so small. The photo quatlity is great, however.
There are many cons though. I have had quite a few problems with the device. The screen has frozen several times and even blacked out once while still playing music. If this happens to your sansa, the only way to fix it is to wait for the battery to die out, or to try to turn it off which will not always work. My sansa also had some other problems. Sometimes,it displays some albums multiple times and doesnt even display others. Songs sometimes will appear twice in the song list. I also have yet to figure out how to put in album art. It only appears for some songs. You may be thinking that my sansa is just broken, but if you read other reviews, you will find may other people have had the same problems. The screen also scratches easily. The Sansa e260 should get 5 stars but with all of these downfalls, i have to give it 3.
This unit is great...unlimited capacity with memory cards, battery last a looooong time between charges and is easily replaceable, & it's super easy to use with free RealPlayer. I love it when running off-road trail in my Bronco, using a simple stereo-to-stereo cable to the front input jack.
Much better than iPod. You Don't need any software! It comes with great software but if you goto a friends house you do not have to download anything. Just plug and play it. Thats It!
worked great for about 1 month keeps crashing tech support couldnt help so back it goes at least it has a warranty

This thing is a paperweight. It's great if you don't like filing paperwork and just want to leave it on your desk.

This player is the reason iPod is adding more features to its mid range players. But also this is a tough player that you can actually take apart and replace the batteries when the time comes. I have dropped my player many times, once in the bathtub. The internal software will always eventually reset. After it dried out it worked good as new!! I would recommend getting a case or cover for it, it does scratch easily, but i like my player to look worn and used. The only thing you give up versus iPod is the touch-wheel, but I had an expensive iPod and I had to send it back twice when I so much as breathed on it wrong. The sansa video conversion software that comes with this player is the absolute best i've seen out there. You simply drag and drop and it takesd care of everything else. Sound quality is off the hook! I strongly recommend this player.

I love this Sansa. I bought one a year ago, and also put a 1gb microsd card in it as well, bringing me up to 5gb. I have dropped it a few times, and it still keeps coming back for more. I would recommend anyone having problems to visit their website, they have a pretty good electronic help desk support system (ebox).
I only wish it had a click wheel more like the ipods. Otherwise a great product with features that make Nano's inferior :)

better value than Ipod especially if you have a subscription to real player rhapsody service. unlimited access to thousands of songs which can be signatured to your player and so much easier to change playlist than ipod. love it.

After having it for 4 months it starting freezing and a month later it didn't even turn on any more. I didn't even get to use it to it full potential, I only got to download songs. There was no help as to why it stop working. It was a waste of money.

I bought this for my birthday, since I have over 300 cd's and was tired of having to lug them around anytime I wanted to listen to my music. I love it. The battery life is great. My only issue is that you really have to be specific when labeling your mp3's. Before putting mp3's on it make sure you edit the tag and song title itself or you will have alot of "unknown" songs. I learned this the hard way and have had to redo all of my songs 4 times. "TIP" If you reconvert your mp3's again, you can make them even smaller and get more songs on your player. This player states you can get 1000 songs, I have been able to put 1500+ on this. Be s ure to upgrade your firmware before putting any music on this. Also buy a case. It is a must. Overall I love this product and would recommend to anyone.

Best MP3 player out there! Nice and small and the voice recorder comes in very handy! Would like to see a better case for it though.

After only 2 weeks of having this product it stopped working and I was unable to get any help from their 800 number as to why it stoped working. Don't waste your money buy a better name brand product.

Already it has the iPod nano beat. The e200 series boasts a screen that is 1.8 inches wide, compaired to the nano's measley 1.5 inch screen. Battery life is almost twice as long. And did I mention that this guy has an FM tuner, voice recorder, video (and not just MPEG4) support, photo support, and it has a microSD port? All this, and the price averages at $30 less. If only it had software equivilant to itunes, I think the sansa would have put the ipod in the grave
