This is a very nice product! It is basically 3 lightsabers in 1! I know that it's plastic but it costs less and we all know the saying "you get what you paid for" so you can't complain about the plastic.It's sensors also work very well which you wouldn't expect from this price. People also complain that it is lit up unevenly. if you tilt it on a 45 degree angle when it its mounted, it will graduately get better! overall, a great product!
I bought two kits and I am extremely pleased with them! They are well detailed, sturdy, the sound is crisp and clear and the blade is bright. It's fun being able to build a hilt design of your own and choose the blade color, either red, blue or green! The price was incredible, you can't beat it! It's a shame they are being discontinued, so get one while you can! My daughter aged four loves it! We duel all the time!
I own the original force Fx lightsabers and this is not a bad substitute especially if you have kids that like to play with your stuff...not as sturdy as the originals but not bad at all and at this price you can't beat it.
this lightsaber kit is amazing. u cant beat it.it is everything u need to feel like and be a jedi or sith!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use this product in costuming with a world-wide Star Wars club.
It looks good enough to sit alongside the screen-accurate suits, so it's a very good investment.
I got it shortly before christmas and it's holding up great... I'm using the Vader emitter, luker foregrip, vader activator, vader rear-grip, and the luke/obiwan pommel. has a nice mix of light and dark for my jedi.......
and it's very good for a budget if you can't get the character-specific sabers.
Of course, the blade could be better and the sound crisper.....

Don't listen to the reviews of the spoiled owners of other force fx sabers. Sure it may not be as detailed as the other force fx sabers,.. but these are fun, being able to change your colors and mix up your hilt to the way you want it.
these people giving it one star are spoiled comparing them to the other ones,... instead of just reviewing the construction kit for what it is.. it is still good fun :) and currently you cannot beat the price!
You could use the poduct in a battle or just for collection. It is a very tough lightsaber so it cant take hits.
i love this thing, you can make three different characters sabers or a bunch of mixtures of them, sure the pieces are mostly plastic, but who gives a [*]

This FX lightsaber pales in comparison to the other FX lightsabers that came before it. The way the blade is illuminated is completely different and the parts that you use to assemble the handle are mostly plastic giving it a cheap feel when you are done.
i love this thing the detail is great also its good for battles you can make anyones lighsaber except for darh mauls because its double headed
this is great i can gett my mini movie in gear, tha only problem will b with wearing it so i will probably buy some authentic hilts and tha parts could have stayed all metal in like tha character ones but still no biggy cuz it was to keep its cosmetic condition in good shape, but love it great addition to any collection and hell of alot of fun
very good. The only negatives are that the blade is not removable and that it can't be worn because of the blade. It could have been a bit more "Movie Accurate" but for [$] it is a steal!

Yess, it's mostly plastic, but the blade is surprisingly bright and these are better for dueling since the LED is in the hilt. A STEAL at [$]! Really fun to build different combinations. This is lots o' fun!

I am totally geeking out right now! The "build your own configuration" feature is fantastic, and how cool is it to be able to change the color to fit your mood? Plus it is just so much fun to battle with. That's right, FUN! This feels like a toy built for play, and that's exactly what we do with it at my office. I would have killed for one of these when I was a kid!! Btw, this is actually my second light saber -- I also have the fancy shmancy Luke Skywalker Master Replica one, but it cost twice as much and I'm afraid of breaking it so I just use it for display. For a totally fun toy to beat down your co-workers, you cannot beat this price!!

Look I've priced Lightsabers all over and if u are on a limited budget like me this is more bang for the buck cause u can make any type of handle u want and the only draw back is the 3 colors u can choose from but if u follow the true Star Wars story there is only 3 true colors which is on the blade [...] this is a master replica or George Lucas would not allow it to be released this is my take on the subject other then that i love it so much i got one for my son so we can duel

Look, this isn't meant to rival the previous replicas in show. The previous ones look awesome but they aren't good for fighting, these new ones are. Not to mention you can change the colors and handles on this one. Plastic is the perfect material for these sabers, it is light and durable. The one LED is a better setup for fighting as well. The other replicas had a LED string up the blade and with a hard whack one is out. Bottom line, not a top notch replica but the best for fighting for the $$$.
i only have two problems with it, one is that the pieces are made of plastic, and while it does not deter from the greatness of the product, i would have much rather have them be metal. my second problem is that, on my first one, the end cap got cross threaded and i couldnt get it off, [...] its really a great product, i love it.
This thing is worth it on the net you get it for 300 bucks and at radio shack dang great price it is a good by for Star Wars Nerds
I am still loving it it is an awsome lightsaber, and I was so wrong, this thing will never break my little brother fights with his friends, which have cheap 20 dollar lightsabers. His friends are awful fighters. Although it is shorter than other MR it is cheeper. It is also great for your own custom lightsaber.
I have been collecting the Force FX collection since 2005 and if you count this one I have 14 of the 15 that is out there. Sadly, this MR to me to be the last yahoo for MR force fx line. To me thi was made very quickly and was not planned out. I purchased this saber with very much high hopes but it did not meet my qualifacations. I recomend this to my friends but only if they cant find the other sabers that are out there. To me yes MR dropped the ball on this one.

this is an okay product but most of it is plastic and the switch is not a flip switch instead it is a just spring activated plastic switch

I own all of the other Master Replicas Lightsabers. So, naturally, I had to buy this one to complete the collection. However, I returned it and will leave my collection incomplete. This has plastic parts, not metal. it is not any where near as attractive of a dsplay as the other MR lightsabers. It does not fit together tightly. And worst of all, it does not even light up evenly or brightly throughout the blade. Big disappointment from Master Replicas.

Master Replicas made QUALITY items "previously." Why did they drop the ball on this one?? I DO like the fact that with Plastic parts this encarnation of the Lightsaber is lighter and easier to use, but since is not metal it will NOT endure like the previous metal presentations of Force FX Lightsabers.

THIS IS ANOTHER GREAT LIGHTSABER FOR MY COLLECTION. IT HAS MANY INTERCHANGEABLE PIECES THAT ARE GREAT FOR MAKING YOU VERY OWN LIGHTSABER. THERE ARE TWO DOWNFALLS ONE IS THAT I CAN'T DUEL WITH OTHER FORCE FX OWNERS AND THE OTHER IS THAT IT IS NOT VERY BALANCED. ALL AND ALL IT IS STILL A GREAT LIGHTSABER TO OWN.

Fairly easy to put together. Although not up to par as the "real" Master Replicas FX Lightsabers, the blade is not as long, and (this one) does not light up as much as the others. This is not a "toy" for younger children, but should be looked at more as being a "collector" item. There are also small parts. With over 4000 combinations, you can find the one that fits you.

Absolute GARBAGE! Master Replicas really hit a low-spot with this one! The hilt pieces are made of friggin' PLASTIC!!!! It semms VERY flimsy and doesn't fit well together. The blade is also shorter than the standard MR sabers. AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!

Though the blade is not as long as the other Master Replicas and it lacks the metal make up and the weight of the others - it makes up for it in being one of the most diverse and versatile of any of the Master Replicas.The great thing about this light saber is if you get bored of the look - simply change it! I tend to get bored easily with new toys - but I found myself playing with this toy for almost 2 hours straight, just replacing and tinkering with the look and feel.If you have friends with the other MRs you will be the new king of the hill with your changing blade and hilt!And it will drive the kids crazy - but that's a given.

You easily grow tiered of this toy. My child was bored after one afternoon. Trust me this is a very poor use of [$]

this item is allot of fun. I have a large collection of the rest of the MR FX saber line and this I consider a nice addition. This saber will Packed with father and child fun(I say child because my daughter loves the Lightsabers just as much as my son).
