I use this when cleanning house gardening anywhere I cant hear my music. I enjoy the fact that I do not have to down load anything. Im not computer smart like the grandkids are. Would like longer life battery but still this is one of the best things the famiy has ever given me.

Work at night and wanted some music for company. In last year have bought an inexpensive and an expensive transistor type radio. Neither work well (clear without static). Considered MP3, but I am NOT saavy enough electronically nor do I have the time to mess with loading music. Bought the Slot Radio during the one day email special Christmas Eve. LOVE everything about it! Easy, easy, easy to set up and use. Played it 10+ hrs yesterday at work and never reached the end of one songlist. Good mix of songs both current hits and older ones, all enjoyable. Figured this would tax the battery, but still 2/3 full at end of day. Buying the bundle was a great way to get started. Thanks for a great product!

Needs a card with 1970's songs only. I suggest that they make a way for you to go online and select what songs you want and then they make and/or mail you a card with those songs on it! FM radio is great. Need to add an AM radio too. Would be neat if you could record off of the radio or put your own MicroSD cards into it. Well built. A little pricey when you could buy a 2GB player for less. A great idea, but needs a better pricing structure. Need to have a FIRMWARE UPDATE so that you can replay the last song, see all the songs and skip around easier! Almost perfect; 80% there, really close for us oldsters that don't have time to screw around with buying hundreds of songs online.

I got the player a while back and bought the "Daily Mix" card. We listen to it all the time. For Christmas we got the Christmas card and it's been really great. We don't have cable so we don't get the cable music channels. We hooked this up to our iPod dock ironically. If this had it's own dock it would be pefect

I was amazed at the excellent FM reception and the good sound quality.
What I am missing is a random access or search function - or at least a repeat or backward scroll. You have to scroll forward through the lists sequentially - if you love one particular song, it takes a long time to get it again.

I wanted an MP3 player to use while running and working out. This fit the bill, lots of choices and I do not have to down load anything. Open the box, charge for thirty minutes and off I went. Exactly what I wanted.

Controls are easyto use. I am not computer literate to download anything. Comfortable ear buds for me and great music. Makes my 6 mile runs easier.

No downloads just turn it on. No computer to charge it just plug it into the wall. There is a great variety of music new old and everything in between, I never used my ipod because putting music on it was to difficult and it took to long.
My son and Husband always want to listen to it so I bought them both one for Christmas, and two more cards so we can share them. I bought the first one in the local store and ordered the other two online and a friend from work ordered one for her boyfriend. VERY PLEASED

I could never figure out how to get songs onto my Ipod and with this I don't have to! It is great to workout to different music. I purchased this product and the screen went out after 10 uses. I have made multiple calls to Sandisk support and all have ended with them refusing to help, refusing to fix the device, and refusing to replace the device. The cards are useless without the device and I refuse to give this company any more money to buy another potentially faulty device.

Avoid this product like the plague!

I always wanted an mp3 player but didn't have the time or interest in maintaining personal song files. This is just "pop & go"! The work is done for you and the variety is great. The only downside is that while you can skip a song, you can not rewind or replay songs.

I absolutely love it! I bought it after getting sick of my Ipod shuffle & having download music, hated wasting time on the computer looking for music & then downloading it. I bought a portable satellite radio, hate that! So easy to use, fully charged out of the box. I dont really care for the earphones that come with it, but using my old ones. Got the arm band definitely handy! Strongly recommend it! Remember it is a bundle so it came with a disk of 1000 songs, variety which was nice & came with a [$] off coupon to buy another disk of songs! Love it!

THE MUSIC IS GREAT AND I'VE HAD NO REASON TO JUMP SONGS, THEY ARE ALL GOOD EVEN ONES I DON'T KNOW WHICH ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. SlotRadio works very well for me. I utilize it mostly at night before going to sleep or after waking up early. It is simple to use even with out the lights on, as the controls are easily identified. Although this device has been criticized for it's pre-programmed music, I like the variety offered especially on their "oldies" selection. Due to slotRadio's size and lightness, you have to be careful not to drop it or knock it off it's resting place. All in all, a really terrific option for my needs.

i just bought one of these--took it out of the box, plugged it in and ran out the door for my evening run. The ear buds didn't seem properly connected; the music cut in and out way too much. Make sure the earbuds "click" into place. It works fine now and I really like it. for someone who sits at a computer all day, i don't want to spend more time there downloading songs. The preloaded music card is a great idea! I don't like trying to down load music from the internet on to an IPOD. It is expensive to do that and time consuming. The slot radio is a very nice alternative and the variety of the music is good.

I returned two slot radios. The first one the f.m. radio didn't work. The second one would reset back to begining every time it was turned on, so you would have to fast foward(push next song button) many times to play last song that was listened to. Now everything works fine, but it took more than one trip to the shack.

I bought this item for myself, but my teenager enjoys it as well. I really love that I don't have to waste my time loading music. My only gripe...the earphones. The earphones don't seem to connect properly, so the sound goes in and out. I will spring for a new pair of earphones.

Sorry but this is a flawed concept. The advantage of using a portable digital player is that it's personalized. You can buy a song at a time that you choose instead of buying a whole album that you might not like. Well this is like an album of 1000 songs that someone else chooses for you. WHAT? My wife bought it for me and it's going back tomorrow!

Slotradio is a brilliant new idea in a world where everyone seems to be focused on iPod/iPhone. I like the ease of just picking it up and switching it on and viola! - Music! No hassles, no muss, no fuss. It's just like radio with no commercials, just the music. It sounds good and its just there, no computer, disks, or downloads. You can't random access the music, but you can't on the radio either. The only things that keep me from giving it a full 5 stars are the display (invisible ouside) and relatively short battery life and long recharge time. (not too bad, just not as good as my iPod nano.)

I like that everything is just done for me. We have pool parties all the time. I have Daily Mix card with the barbecue channel on all the time and it's perfect for this. Big downside. NO DOCKING STATION! We plug it into boombox but have to charge it manually. What was SanDisk thinking? Other than that I love it. I know the songs when I hear them but would never know to download them. Perfect for someone like me.

This product will not read microsd cards with your own music downloads. I put the card in and it shows that the card is missing. The slotradio cards that you purchase for this are junk as well. 1000 songs from "Billboard" with only a few worth listening to?? Not a good investment. I bought this to take on long walks but I am constantly pushing the button to hear the next song. Very disappointed. A great idea but not that great.

I picked this up for vacation. Wanted something small and easy with FM. I listen to both radio and the included card and just bounce back and forth. I really like radio but the commercials make me nuts so I flip on the card. When I get tired of that I flip on the radio and so on. It's easy to use but the screen needs to be brighter. I can't see it at the beach. I have to cup my hands over it. I use my own headphones too. The included ones don't sound very good. Other than that I really like this little gizmo. I hope they come out with lots of good cards.

I've owned several mp3 players, but this is by far the best. I can't be bothered to load my own music and don't have the time as well. This also introduces me to different music that ordinarily I would not listen too. Nice small size well made and very easy to use (intuitive). It would be nice to be able to scroll backwards, but it's no big deal. Has a nice FM tuner as well. Where can you get 1000 top hits for [$]? Get one!

The best piece of technology ever in music! I love this little gadget. Its small to carry and the sound is wonderful! Just plug it into the wall for a little time to charge it up. You can skip songs thats preloaded in this tiny little card. 1000 songs. AMAZING! Looks like a sim card for a cell phone. The buttons on my Slotradio are easy to use. It also has FM radio you can listen too. Love the fact if you do not like the song playing you can hit the button and the next one comes on right away. I'm age 66 and the billboard songs provided are ALL great choices and high quality. The player is a solid product (they got this one right)and even comes with a rubber insert protector for shocks and resistance to sliding out of your pocket, not to mention the built in belt clip. I recieved an e-mail about this as a pre-release, and I have been studying it closely and operated it in a store display. I personally went with the Sansa Fuze and updated the firmware online to play SlotRadio. It took 5 minutes, and added another function to the 4gb on board memory, sd slot, fm radio, and mp3/wma, video playback. However, I am going to purchase this for a gift for a friend who is not as picky as I am with the functions available.
However, This really is a good deal, a fm radio and a sd slot to play SlotRadio or MP3/wma format SD Cards. It is easy to work, put in the card, turn on and play. This also comes with the Bundle only exclusive bilboard mix card that has a littel something from all the genre's, not a bad beginning. SD cards are cheap here at radioshack, so my friend can load up 1 or 2 8gb cards from my collection and he will be set.

I bought this little player for my mom and she loved it (that's until my dad noticed it and took it away from her... now I need another one because they don't share too well). It's kind of like radio, only without the commercials, constant chatter and interference (and by the way, it actually has FM too). It's pretty idiot-proof - and (FINALLY!!!) I don't have to play the part of the DJ for my mom and load my old ipod shuffle with songs for her. She just gets it. She picks a genre, and she's good to go. Idiot-proof interface too, solid value for the price (and solid build! definitely gym-proof, not that my mom would care...). I wish you could go back in the playlist, but I guess for this price for 1000 songs that's a bit too much to ask for. The music selection was very cool by the way, even by my somewhat better (than my mom's) standards. Thumbs up.
