I would not recommend using Paypal method to make any purchase from Radioshack.com. It took me more then 45 minutes and much hassles from the store managers before I was able to pick up the item from the store. Very very bad experience. I would not purchase item again with Radioshack.com.

If you have kids, then I am sure you have purchased a leapster. I have put "other" batteries in the leapsters and they would last a few days. However RS batteries have been in there for 2 weeks and they are still going strong!! PLEASE put them back on sale @ [$] That was a GREAT DEAL!!!!

The battery would work in my smoke alarms. The low battery light comes on my smoke alarm when I put a fresh set of batteries in.I bought a 40 pack thinking I would use it for all 6 smoke alarms and the children toys. I guess I will have to buy a differnet rand for the smoke alarms and keep these for the toys.

I bought two packs of these batteries when they were on sale. In our house, it seems every toy or gadget needs AA batteries. These packs of 40 make sure you always have extras when you need them. They are best for general use applications like toys, remote controls, low draw electronics. For electronic devices that require lots of power (cameras, video players, etc.) you probably want to use rechargeable batteries. These are just perfect for everyday, general purpose items. I am very pleased with these.

I bought two 40 packs of AA batteries. These days, we have tons of things that use this type of battery (Xbox controllers, tv & stereo remotes, portable games, child's toys, etc.). So, buying a large (bulk) pack of batteries at a good price is just what I need. The Shack had a great price on the 40 pack so I bought 2 of them. 80 AA batteries for under $20 was fantastic.

Rechargeables are good but only supply 1.2 volts where these supply 1.5 volt and are ready to use right away don't need to stop and recharge them.....Don't get me wrong Rechargeables have there uses...but for most of my uses i need them right away..
