Have had 4 full flights now and no crashes.Great speed control and have even gotten it to move forward while turning to navigate around a room. Wonderful control. With the 6 "legs" landing gear, even hard landings are absorbed well. Fun. especially since you get to fly again and again, unlike many that crash on first try. Recommend getting a DC charger for the heli, then have fun!

I purchased this horrible helicopter for my husband for Christmas. It cost [$]at [...]. He flew it 3 times and on the third flight it hit the ceiling, then the rug and broke apart! It is a waste of money!!! The rotors broke and we tried to put the new ones on and they would not fit on the stem. Product is made in China so I should have had more sense!
Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
I'm a beginner and I have a lot of fun with this. Thew cats love it, my two-year-old loves it, and even my wife seems to tolerate it. With about 12+ full-charge flights in, I can generally pilot the mosquito without much difficulty. While I have managed to use the two spare tail rotors, I'd consider the mosquito very durable; it's been slammed into walls, floors, and people, but it keeps on tickin'.
It will require practice, patience, and finesse to anticipate and overcome some idiosyncrasies. Here's some of what I've learned:
o Make slow, steady movements; rapid changes will invoke a wobble in the lower rotor which will cause the mosquito to "toilet bowl". If it's severe enough, the rotors will strike each other and the mosquito will crash to the floor.
o Because the tail rotor is not countered, the mosquito will want to veer left when you move forward. I counter by moving the stick slightly right with forward movements, but others twist the tail a few degrees.
o Turn off heating & AC or you'll be all over the place (including the floor) due to air currents. Forget about taking this outdoors.
o Try to keep the mosquito about 2 feet away from vertical surfaces or it will get sucked in sideways.
o If you're going to crash, let go of the controls rather than try to save it -- you're more likely to cause damage otherwise. I have two broken tail rotors that can back me up on this.
I've spent the last week or so scouring the web for data on 20 different beginner RC aircraft and I ranked this 3rd in the $30-$100 range. Flight time is ~7 minutes or more at 1500 ft. If you're over 5500 feet, you might want something with a little more kick to overcome the thinner atmosphere. Charge time is about 30 minutes; this yields a pretty good charge to flight ratio for a dual-motor system. Replacement parts are easy to find, but they're expensive.
Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
Take your mind out of stress and just concentrate on cruising and being in control of your flight plan. It can be a challege when stressed out but balance is in the making when you're in control of the mosquito.
Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
Happened to pick this up for [$] on sale and had an AC adapter that worked with the charging base. For [$] an awesome buy.Overall very easy to use (though I have had some RC experience when I was a kid 20 years ago, but just land-based vehicles).Remarkably durable. Eventually got some tears in one wing of the lower rotor blade after like the 50th crash, some of them pretty ugly. Hard to complain about that.Impressed and pleased. Have fun!

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
This is a great flying helicopter. I got it as my "Christmas toy" (I'm 34) and have had a great time with it. It flys easily. The bottom rotors seem to wear out faster than the top & tail rotors. I made a couple of modifications to help with this. First, I added a small piece of the clear tubing between the two spacers between the top & bottom rotors. This keeps the rotors from hitting each other as much (which is what I believe was causing a majority of the damage). I also wrapped the ends of the bottom rotor blades with clear tape. I did this after they started tearing. It has added a little weight, but it is still easy to fly and I still get 5 or 6 minutes of flight time. My son bought the 4x4 -- mine is WAY easier to control.
Also, flying in reverse is possible, but it is a lot slower than flying forward. To me, that's not really an issue.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
The unit was impossible to trim to fly right. Even with full left trim + full left control, it still maintained a slow right turn. Fiddled with the blade shape... no good. Decided to try the replacement rotors I bought, but they didn't fit. The little fella finally broke on account of me drop-kicking it clear across the room.
I'm sure that this is a fundamentally sound design, and that I just bought a lemon. But the fact is, there's NOTHING more disappointing than a toy that doesn't work!!!
Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
Amazing technology, small package, & fun! A little practice and you become a pro. Could use interchangeable battery pack so continuous flying is possible. Sturdy little design, takes crashes well. Best suited for large rooms, but with practice hallways and stairs are an interesting challenge.
Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
OK, there is one issue, but it's easily fixed. This tends to rotate counterclockwise out of control, there is a fix in the trouble shooting and it worked for me, but from a[@] search it seems it doesn't work for everyone. If it doesn't work for you, go to youtube and search RC micro mosquito fix. It's easy and cost almost nothing (a few cents). After that, this thing is great! It takes some time to learn to fly it...I think I managed an average of about 3 seconds of flight before hitting a wall at first. But, now I can usually get it to go where I want, I even flew it under a table and out the other side, then landed on the table, today! The seven minutes of flight time estimate is about right. All in all this thing is a lot of fun, I'm thinking of getting the bigger one this summer so I can take the fun outdoors.
Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
WORKED GREAT, I HAD A AIR HOG AND IT WAS BAD COMPARED TO THIS ON, OUTSIDE WIND AFFECTS THE FLIGHT BUT GREAT INDOORS!
Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
It should be well controlled in all directions. Its not so impressive but very cute in design.
Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
Wow this is a very nice helicopter. I've went through 2 others and the were JUNK compared to this. I liked the full function, but it was a little slow to respond, also I didn't like that it didn't hover like it said it should. Other wise it is great I also like that you can buy a wall "plug in" that you plug into the charger and charge it like that.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
This is my firt RC Heli and it is everything I hoped it to be. I thought it was imposible to control the first time I flew it but after a few crashes and a litle patience I soon learned how to fully control it. Keep your movements simple at first and get comfortable keeping it pointed straight. It takes multi-tasking abilities to to fully control so start in the largest room available. Just let off the throtle when you are going to crash. Anyone can learn how to fly this but it takes patience and practice. My heli has gone through several dozen hard collisions and nothing has broken yet. I also purchased a generic AC adapter from RS to save money on batteries.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
This thing is great! but its not made of steel, so you have to be somewhat gentle with it. not the fastest forward and reverse speeds but you can become pretty accurate with the movements. Good run time for a micro. replacement parts are available at my local RS for ten dollars, so if you get into trouble your not out too much but it could add up fast. takes a bit longer than some micros to recharge but its worth the wait. would recommend to a friend.
PS. clear tape will fix many of the tears in the main rotors, as someone else had already mentioned.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
dont waste your time with that clone by alany. i bought it and all it is is a hovering game, there's absolutly no way to controll direction with it. plus one of the motors,or driveshafts stoped working within a couple of days. bought the RS one and its loads of fun. as long as you kinda brace your fingers, to alow for minimal inputs its 100% controllable. Well let's start off with replacement parts. There are replacement parts available, just go to your local Radio Shack. The item number on my receipt is 6004461 and it sells for [$] (i think). I love the way this chopper flies... it takes a bit to get used to, but it's a lot of fun once you do. Please understand, this is a toy, and sometimes things break, but it is well constructed. I have crashed more times than not, and I have yet to break it (crossing fingers). Good job, i'm enjoying it.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
Fantastic machine. Mine has about 100 flights on it and I replaced rotors once (friends fault). Rotors can be fixed with scotch tape btw. This heli is about 10000 times better then Mosquito 4x4 and many other low priced Micro helis (under $200). If tempted to buy the Mosquito 4x4 please poke yourself in the eye and buy another one of these. Best money spent in a long time. PS: dont let anyone fly yours or its guaranteed to break.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
This is a great little toy. If I'm stressed out i pick up the controller and cruise it around my room. It took some time to learn to control it well. This is a great learning chopper for beginners. Its also really durable, I must have crashed it two dozen times and it still works well. The only thing is the charge time. it takes a while to charge and the battery only lasts for about 15 to 20 minutes for a thirty minute charge. But none the less its a great buy at a great price.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
I have purchased these for friends, a fun toy that me and my 4 year old fly around the house. I don't understand the flimsy comments, we wreck into the ceiling or wall, just don't stay on the throttle and you won't have a problem. Bought the repair kit and replaced the rear blade twice, now I glued it on. Run the battery all the way dead every few times and it will fly longer. Worth every penny, compared to what I paid for my "real" r/c heli's.

I love this! It's super easy to control and easy to learn (for kids 10+). Its not the fastest, but its fast enough to have fun and slow enough to not crash.
I like to use it in the dark where you can really see the green led eyes. A must have for first time flyers.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
This is an excellent flyer for the price, it the most controllable micro I have flown at this price range! Some people have said that it has flimsy construction... I think flimsy got mistaken for ultralight aircraft.. it has to be light, and sometimes you can only build things up so much or the airframe weighs too much. When I first started with it I tipped it over multiple times on its side and nothing gave.. the only complaint I have is that it should have come with a 9.0v wall plug for the charger base, touch hefty on the batteries.
Tons Of fun!!

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
This product is truly amazing. I notice that many of the bad reviews are from teens and people who seem to be very much in a hurry. This machine takes kindness and calmness to work. It can take an amazing beating though the rotors are somewhat easily broken, though easily replaced. Be very calm when flying and just think about moving the controls. Don't actually push them. Anyone who is willing to actually take the time to learn to fly and who is old enough to take care and calm down, will enjoy it emensely!
Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
The battery lasts for a while and it is tons of fun... while it works. It is very flimsy plastic and after landing on the floor of my house, it somehow broke. Looking closer I noticed that the rotors had snapped and the propellers no longer spun in the right direction to generate lift. Fun toy, but nothing serious
Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
this is awesome, the only bad thing about it is that I dropped the remote once and it snapped a wire, but it was an easy fix.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
Not ready to fly, battery didn't have enough power to take it off the floor out of the box, Rotors broke aprx. 10 hrs after first flight, 2 days after first flight tail motor gave out, cannot fly near even the slightest wind doors opening will throw it off. WAY TOO FRAGILE. Buy it only if you intend to keep it as a collectible and never use it. Poor excuse for a toy. Impossible to reach customer support for they are ALWAYS "Unable to take your call". Replacement blades are not sold in stores (as far as I know)and cost $20, replacement tail motor not available, they make you buy a new body. I believe replacement tail rotors are about $3-6 (they are an INCH long and made of PLASTIC)

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
When I first got it i was so excited. But when i got it out i charged it, turned everything on, and tried to fly it. It was so cool until it stopped working after 30 seconds. So i charged it again and it flew for another 30 seconds. Finally it quit doing that and it would fly at the right amount of time. Flying it was hard to control. So I was trying to fly it around and it fell on my desk and one of the propellers broke in half. It is a cool looking toy, but it is not durable at all.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
I have the MM V3.0, it is orange in color. It has exceeded my expectations. I have many RC products, cars, boats, airplanes and a variety of helicopters from the inexpesive to the pricey. The Micro Mosquito has really exceeded my expectations for an indoor flyer. Be sure to turn off the A/C though (a small price to keep the control of this simple) - it will make a difference. I have flown mine now about 30 times... and am still hagving as much fun as the first time. As one reviewer said though... does not like a breeze or wind... it will get knocked about. But minus the wind, I have no problem at all flying this around the house or my garage... be easy on the controls... smooth small changes... thats the key. I have no problem with flight time or control, forward, reverse, left/right and up/down. It is a breeze... yes, some practice is definitely helpful. To those folks who cannot get more than 3-4 minutes of fligt time, or have no control... bring it back... mine works awesome!!! I am impressed. Bought it with low expectations, and first flight, was really impressed. I fly and land wherever I want. My flight time is around the 9-12 min. range with a complete charge. I did buy the AC adapter from RS... was worth the money to save on C batteries. When you fly it, get it off the ground or the rotor wash will make it difficult... get it up quickly to around 4-5 feet THEN adjust the Trim, then off you go... again, subtle adjustments are the key. This is a lot of fun.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
Absolutely perfect for indoor flying. It appears to be one of the best R/C Helicopters for the price. If you look at the less expensive ones, they are more cheaply constructed and they lack the features of this one, such as true forward and backwards flight. As an R/C pilot of 8 years experience, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has any sort of piloting skills. It makes a great gift in my opinion, especially for anyone who likes R/C and robotics. Another nice feature I noticed was the rotors (replaceable with spare parts if they break) seem to be designed to withstand crashes and bumps, so you don't have to be afraid you'll break it on the first flight.

Ok, so I went out and bought this new helicopter thinking it would be fun...dont get me wrong it is fun but, there is a slight problem. The blades break easily and the replacement blades are not easy to come by. I have a solution for you go to a site called www.[@].com and search micro mosquito replacement rotar blades kit you should find the kit to be some where between $5-6
Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
Lots of fun. Learn to fly well in about a half hour. Durable during a crash, except for the blades. Only problem is you can't find replacement rotor blades online at this site. They do have rotor blades at stores, but you'll have to call around to find them first.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
Buy extra rotors with it. Be very carefull at first. When you master flying, trim and rotor adjustments, you probably will need to replace the rotors. Get a little more out of them by using small pieces of scotch tape.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
This heli is much more stable, durable and sleeker than the older model. I can really control it. However if you buy the upgraded tail rotor the older one is just as fast flying forward. The replacement parts are not easy to get unless you are getting them online.
Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
Radio Shack used to carry replacement blades but doesn't any more. Blades break often and this is common with RC Helicopters. Not a cheap hobby but a fun one. I want to run to Radio Shack and grab some blades but have to order them online. My only complaint is that I can't even order them online at Radio Shack. Also my rechages last anywhere from 5 to 8 minutes depending on the C type batteries I use in the charging station.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
This is a great toy as long as everyone knows it does have one real weakness. No wind or breezes. The counter spinning rotors act as a natural gyroscope to help this toy fly steady and even. If a breeze hits it it will most likely over-compensate trying to recover. When I fly inside my house I even turn off the Air-Conditioning.
Here is what I love about this toy. I fly mine rough. I like to challenge it and fly it in my garage around a kind of air course. I have a couple pieces of wood canterlevered out from the roof of my golf cart. I love landing it on this thin beam. It's been crashed many times, until finally I broke a rotor. I bought the repair kit and had the new rotors on it in 60 seconds. I love simplicity and I love this toy. Way to go Radio Shack. GREAT PRODUCT!

In concept, this is a fun and entertaining product. Unfortunately the rechargeable battery is terrible, lasting for only 1-2 min of helicopter flight time (the company quotes 7 min). Too bad: in this condition it should not even be on the market.

This copter flies very well, parts kit was super cheap and came with everything to keep it goin. as long as you dont smash it around it flies perfect. Ive had 4 different styles and this one is very good for the price with out having to spend a couple hundred on a professional one.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
This helicopter is excellent. If you practice for about half and hour you can master the flight. Just balance the trim and practice hovering at first, then try some more advanced stuff like landing on high places. This beats the old mosquito anyday. The box says it gets 7 minutes flight time but on a full charge I could keep it in the air for about 5 minutes.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
I go and buy this helicopter. I go home, charge it up, and start flying. I charge it up a second time. That is when I start having problems. The heli only went about a foot off the ground. When I held it in my hand and took off, it just fell fast. It was a total waste of money. I do a couple of charge and discharge cycles, still nothing. I am trying to complain but it does not work. Save yourself the agony, do not buy this.

Comments about Interactive Toy Concepts Interactive Toy Concepts Indoor Micro Mosquito Helicopter:
Takes a little while to master the controls. After some practice it gets pretty easy. Smaller movements are better. The blades are pretty delicate, but a little tape has fixed it up so far with little or no loss of flight control. It pretty much will hover on its own. So much so that my 2 year old is able to do this when the batteries have worn down a bit (this greatly limits it's "altitude" to about 1 foot.) I'd say practice low to the ground at first to minimize crash damage. Once you get the hang of it you can start to increase height.

This helicopter is so good, it would be a mistake not to buy it! On my first day, when I was still getting the hang of it, I got it to stay in the air for 2-3 minutes in one liftoff. You can make it land on any target, no matter how small.
