Xmods are great

Someone on the team got one of these and with the basic kit and fully charger Tenergy (great brand) batteries was slower then the rest with the basic kit, aerodynamics were slightly better except it has a bit of a problem with ground affect @ 31.5-33 mph (upgraded motor). Otherwise it is excellent. Just concerned about quality control because of the inconsistency

I just bought this car and for me it is great. It has great speed and is easy to control once you have the hang of it. I wouldn' recommend it for children but for adults I think it is great. I plan on doing many mods and buying other cars and trucks to continue with the hobby.

I bought this car while it was on sale and I don't regret it! It is fast and very fun to drive. Be aware though, it drains batteries quickly by itself. So do yourself a favor and buy rechargeable batteries along with ANY xmod.

My Z06 has a lot of Aluminum and other upgrades from atomicmods.com, because the sotck plastic parts will break easily, even if you drive it carefully.

not as great as the fist ones that came out. no body kits. bad looking stock rims. the corvette i got, the back is a diffrent color form rhe reast of the body. but it is a fun toy just needs some stuff.

This is a great product, its my first Xmod in years, and i have been playing with xmods for about 5 years now.. this one is a major improvment and it is great, just 1 con is that you cannot change the body kits for the newer ones

This product is great! its fun to use inside and outside without any trouble. its shape of a real automobile makes it the best. being able to upgrade your vechile is just like owning a real vechile exept it runs at batterys and is smaller. overall i would give this a 9/10

This product is great! I have outfitted the chassis with a Ford Mustang body, stage two motor, green street glow, Enkei rims and camo decals. Too bad the X Mod website is gone.

fun with right tires,helps to get aftermarket parts if you want good grip tires. get the foam tires and slide out wont be a problem.

I Just have these yesterday and I also bought a Energizer AAA Rechargeable batteries 900mAh, my Stock Xmods Corvette Z06 totally made my Stock Auldey Race-tin gen-3 eat it's DUST, it's acceleration even got better when I added the AWD upgrade and the Stage 2 30,000RPM Motor kit, it's like it could reach 0-20KMH in just one Second!!! and tops about 35KMH in 3.5 Seconds!

Really fast with Li-ion batteries. There are alot of aftermarket parts for xmods and i recently got a gen 1 NSX body...sweet. All in all, this car is fast!

i bought the 65 mustang and the corvette if you look closely at the front ends of each car you will see the front shocks are just a spec to close to the moving front end parts and the round part has to be shaved down a lil to clear the shocks it took a while to figure out why it would turn good one way and not the other .we race them every monday night at a local garage who has built a track and we were pretty upset when they wouldnt turn so after investigating this we found this to be the issue. also BAD DESIGN with changing the cars to certain bands that was a rotten thing to do to us racers the interchangeable crystals made it a lot easier to race with a bunch of other guys or girls at our track since they have the older cars now to race with our cars a few have to change there crystals i think that was a rotten thing to do . the mustang goes ok the corvette flies!!

i use this RC car in my house, in the church parking lot down the street and pretty much everywhere that has concrete. you can race at night if you buy a headlight kit (i did) i also got a spoiler for it and might custom paint it (after flipping it so many times) but the battery life is short so just buy some rechargable batteries (get 8 so if you take it somwhre youll have some backups

as a previous buyer i would strongly reccomend this product who would like the see the xmods era live on. this car is well built and the quality is THE best. one more thing...also if you have othe xmod cars from previuos "generations" mix up the rims and see what you get!

I have bought many xmods in the past and when the new Xmods came out, I immediately got it. The differences between the older Evo and the Newer One are: more beefed up parts, different gearbox plastic construction, and a non-removable crystal. The controller that came with it was messed up (as well as other peoples on xmodsforum.co.uk) I solved the problem by using and old xmod controller and it actually went faster with the old remote!

The body sat a bit high and it was a bit lopsided when I got it but I fixed the problem with a file and a hobby knife.

these are the worst piece of junk cars i have ever owned. every one of my four xmods has broken beyond repair. they are a pain in the butt to work on and they are really not that good. they run on cheap AAAs and only last for a few mins. if you want a small scale rc, look somewhere else.

It can look better by adding Spoilers, Wide/Body kits, Rims, Underglow, lighting kits, etc. It can also get Faster and Better by upgrading it's Tires, Motor, AWD upgrade, Suspensions.

I mean honestly, when you call it an XMOD, you MOD it. I liked the older vehicles, even though I'm still stuck on the Gen1. I have a major collection, and even bought the AtomicMods Heroshima. If you want a one piece molding, just goto [...] and get the same quality, or better. With XMODS it was about tuning a vehicle to your taste, and self-individuality. What were you guys thinking taking away the body mods, or the plethora of performance tuning that you once had? You wasted your money in production efforts, and have earned a shamed view from people like me who enjoyed these when the 67 Camaro was a MUST have. I remember going nuts for the origonal red Supra when the lineup was first introduced. Now? I don't even bother buying anything from you guy's till you get your act straight. Maybe when they go on clearance for a stunt car for the 10 minutes of boredom I might have. And Let me tell you, it's lot's of fun racing alone, when all the crystals are the same -.-I mark this as Fail.

THIS IS WHAT YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR. This is the best RC that I've had and I've had a lot of them. This RC is a high speed car and well constructed (I tend to drive it really fast so I hit things occasionally at full speed and on any normal RC hiting something at a high speed would break the car but not this car it doesn't matter if you hit something at full speed because the frame is very well constructed). If your wondering if you should buy one I would highly recomend it.

I just got the Z06 with the all wheel drive conversion kit. It takes a little time to assemble due to the TINY parts but it is a blast once they are together. Anyone who likes RC cars will love these. I wouldn't recommend for smaller children or anyone without patience, the screws & gears are REAL small and require a steady hand.

This car is awesome, you can do anything from circle track carpet racing to road coarse pavement with basically the same set ups. This car is the best one out right now i would have to say hands down. It has the looks the speed the handleing everything.Ive ran this car stock in some of the biggest races around where i live, and i placed extremely well. This car is the whole package.

Close but no cigar. I have an older XMods, so this review might be inacurate. When racing, Get off the track as soon as a Mini Z starts racing.
Hopefuly this or the next line of XMods use a 2.4 GHz system with brushless motors.

nice out of the box, but could use some work to make it drive well.handling is inconsitent unless tuned properly or converted to AWD.I have one of these and it's an improvement over the previous ones except that the crystals are direct-soldered onto the board. the remote is also as horrible as ever. i have to search around trying to find a remote that doesn't glitch.it's stronger and pulls harder than the last version.i would race with my friends, but really none of them have xmods, so i think the price could be [$]lower to start, but all in all, it's a solid foundation for modification and racing (just needs hobby grade electronics because the electronics right now are horrendous. try making the elctronics better, and 'd buy it even if the price took a hike to [$]

The Xmods are a magnificent way of keeping yourself busy or plainly entertained. I own the new Xmod 2008 Skyline GT-R and the 1965 Ford Mustang and both are modified to the fullest. From bearings, engine, tires, bodykits, suspension and even chasis adjustments. I should know that these cars are great and they are worth every penny. Just to give a heads up, I've spent more than [$] on customization. They are that great.

I own several evo cars and trucks and I must say that anybody looking to convert their car to off-road can easily do so if they have some spare truck parts. if you have installed the lift kit on a truck, simply take the stock truck rear arms, axles and shocks and they can be adapted to making a wide wheelbase 2WD buggy. one of the a-arms must be trimmed slightly so it doesn't rub the differential gear, since it is reversed in the cars. the only part that requires fabrication is making a custom top plate out of some 1 mil aluminum, this can be tricky but the wider wheelbase allows the use of a 180 size motor in an evo car to give you extra torque for off-road driving. If this sounds a little complicated, it is, but the results are well worth it. add alloy captive dogbones for strength as the bigger motor will require it. also, for ground clearance obviously you will need bigger tires all around, find some that work well for you. too big of a tire and you may strip a gear from the strain of trying to turn it. I have found that lego 30.4x14 VR tires on slammed truck rims work incredibly well as all-terrain tires. you can trim your body to make room for the tires or add a lexan bug body for authenticity. also, the front suspension COULD be adapted to use truck parts too, but would require much more extensive modification, and is not recommended. pics coming soon!

The best way to use it on a nice smooth flat surface get no traction on carpet or rugs. Just think of places like [...]flooring style. It's a fast car, but needs the AWD upgrade (All Wheel Drive). Whats not so good about this car is that the wheel nuts aren't threaded, which means that u have to make your own threads by putting it on
